It was another successful BDNY for the books this year! We had a great time seeing old and new faces while exploring the newest and most dynamic design elements in the boutique and lifestyle segments. Most of all, we were thrilled to present our newest collaboration with surface designer Tomma Bloom at the trade show!
This collection, Uplifted, uses her signature style of playful and vibrant tones, printed with our haptic, three-dimensional print technique, giving these unique wallcoverings an elevated touch (literally). We weren’t the only ones who loved these designs, because Uplifted made it to the final round of the Best of BNDY Product Competition! This program recognizes outstanding innovations across 14 lifestyle and design categories and we could not be more proud to have these designs nominated.
Aside from these original designs, a number of our wallcoverings were also featured around the trade show. Most notably was the custom, haptic-printed design found in Simeone Deary’s immersive Social Hub, Down the Rabbit Hole. Our in-house talent fully illustrated this wallcovering to feature a narrative driven by this year's Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Rabbit. As both design muse and inspiration, the rabbit represents longevity, peace, prosperity, and, most importantly, hope. This part bunny hutch, part secret garden, with a hint of a mad tea party was tastefully complemented with our art noveau-inspired design and served as the perfect backdrop for the speeches and panels in the event.
